I can imagine what most of you are thinking. Let's take a walk down memory lane to last December. I dyed my hair brown and promptly had a mental breakdown. How could I help it? It was drastic and faded to a sad shade of rust. Red hair, I love and wish I had. But this was nothing natural. In attempt to be bold and to do as Felicity does, I'm looking for a new hair style (though in retrospect, Felicity's haircut might not have been such a good move on her part). Perhaps this will transform me into something more than my 15 year old facade.
Answer me this, why can't I be this fabulous?

You know the saying, "A penny for your thoughts?" Well I'll give you more. In exchange for words of wisdom, I'll make you a pact. If I cut my hair, I promise not to cry. Or tell anyone that I'm going to die. If that's not enticement enough, I don't know what is.
This is a cry for help. I would wait till you to return to U.S. Before doing anything major. However, maybe you could find some fab haircutter over there to give you a new look. I do love all the short dos you posted. Just remember that it takes years to grow back.
ReplyDeleteSo brave! I commend radical experimentation when it comes to hair - no matter how disastrous the result, your head will fix it, all by itself, with a little time. But you'll have to be ready to live with the consequences if you don't like it! Even so - a good excuse to buy yourself some "fab hats" as you might say.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you should try on a short wig first and wear it for a week or so to see how you like it.
ReplyDeleteGiven the mental breakdown you referenced when you dyed your hair, I am not sure you are ready for something so drastic just yet. I think it would look great, but maybe you should try a short style first that is not quite so short (perhaps chin length). It definitely was life-changing for Felicity, but she also grew her hair out right away.
ReplyDeleteI think cutting the hair sounds exciting. Why not go for it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would recommend it-I don't want to spend every lunch next semester commiserating over your loss of hair.
ReplyDeleteI do however like Mom's suggestion-try a wig!
I recommend cutting it there! Save the rest of us from hearing about it until you come to terms with your new do. :) I'm sure it would look fab.
